DTG on Light Colored Apparel
With our Direct to Garment (DTG) printing services, we use a specialized inkjet printer which applies the ink colors of the artwork directly onto the t-shirt . It works similar to how your inkjet printer at home works except it prints on a t-shirt instead of paper. Since DTG uses specialty water-based inks which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment, it creates a soft hand feel to the design that is unmatched with standard screen printing.
DTG on Dark Colored Apparel
When DTG printing with white ink in your artwork or as an under base on dark apparel, the garment will need to go through a pre-treatment process which helps white ink bond to the apparel and achieve bright vibrant colors. This pre-treatment process does have an additional expense, however it will allow you to print bold and bright colors direct to dark garments.
